So, who are we and what do we do?
We are Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) Early Intervention Service. We offer specialist mental health support and treatment to people from the age of 14 upwards, who are experiencing symptoms of psychosis for the first time. We also work with families and professionals, to raise awareness of psychosis and to provide advice and guidance so that they feel confident in supporting someone in their recovery.
Though our focus is to support people as early as possible after the first sign of symptoms, as this is an important stage in helping with recovery, it’s important to know that it’s never too late to ask for help. We urge anyone that thinks they, or someone they know, may be experiencing symptoms of psychosis, to get in touch with our team.
