Latest Success

Before I met the Early Intervention Team things were pretty bad. I was withdrawn from society and under stress because of debt.

When I was in hospital I was given medication which gave me side effects and blurred vision. When I left hospital I stopped taking medication, which looking back was not a good idea because I was then not getting any benefit from treatment.

The medication that I am taking now I’ve had for years. I don’t have any side effects and it has helped me do things that I couldn’t do before and given me my life back.

The help that I got from the team improved my confidence. I was frustrated to begin with because I didn’t improve straight away. However with time it has been worth it in the end.  I got help doing things that I had avoided doing by going shopping and exercising again. I started doing things again that I had used to do.  I’ve just finished a college course in plumbing and have done voluntary work with ‘It’s a Goal’. I also plan to do conservation work in the future.

I pushed my own boundaries and made myself get out of my comfort zone.

In the beginning I felt stuck, but now I’m in a position where I can change.
